Kieran Tomkins Design

About Me
Hi, my name is Kieran. I've been designing systems and graphics for people for a little over a decade.

I got my start around 2013 with a heavy focus on typography, at that time I was fascinated with introduction videos on YouTube and the extreme lengths they would go to to distort type, and make a single name engaging to look at. I started a business around that through PayPal at the same time that was moderately successful.

Later, I became interested in the demoscene and more niche forms of motion graphics. I was intrigued by the grungy atmosphere that they, and tangentially people involved in rave graphics could create.

I began to study those aesthetics and those of early-00s Flash web designers, such as 2Advanced Studios and contemporaries of their era like Designer's Republic. It hearkened back to a time where we'd be staring at our 4:3 CRTs praying we didn't get eye damage.

Since then I've worked with a number of local and international creators and businesses who understandably want to see their and their clients' visions brought to life. Appreciating all types of design, my main mission is to incorporate as much of that awe-inspiring flavour it takes to inspire them as it did me.
